Logan Olsommer JR QB Delaware Valley

The Warriors continue to show week in and week out there the best team in the district, and the passing game is improving each week with Olsommer. Olsommer continues to make great throws in the pocket and on the run and has shown he can throw a really nice deep ball, which has taken the top off defenses the past 2 weeks. He’s been as efficient as can be the past two weeks, completing 75% of his passes for 297 yards and 4 touchdowns.

Ryder Machado SR RB Delaware Valley:

Machado continues to strengthen his case for player of the year and just dominates on Friday nights. Machado is a problem once the ball hits his hand and he has been effective through the air on the ground over the past 2 weeks where he has recorded 285 rushing yards and 5 touchdowns and caught 4 passes for 113 yards and a touchdown.

Mason Avrey JR RB Honesdale

The Hornet's offense has found its legs the past 2 weeks, and Avrey has played as well as any player in District 2. Avrey has been a workhorse for the Hornets and has been the foundation of their success as he has gotten them back in the playoff picture. No one has been able to stop Avrey the past 2 weeks, as he has rushed for 513 yards and 5 touchdowns.

Zach Gledhill SR WR Honesdale

The Hornet's offense continues to impress and has been very balanced over the past 2 weeks, and Gledhill has led the passing attack. Gledhill has played his best ball of the season over the past 2 weeks and has emerged as great yac receiver recording 6 receptions for 200 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Sean Owens JR WR Western Wayne

Everytime the ball hits Owens hands it seems like a big play is awaiting, the junior continues to dominate on Friday nights. Owens is one of the best route runners in the league and continues to make highlight reel catches. It was a dominant 2 weeks for number 10 who recorded 10 receptions for 148 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Andrew Summa SR TE Scranton Prep

 Eversince the tight end spot was handed to Summa in the preseason all the senior has done has is dominant. Summa continues to be a matchup nightmare for opposing linebackers as they can’t keep up with his speed and route running and the Cavs continue to take advantage of it. Summa record 8 receptions for 142 yards and a touchdown over the past 2 weeks.

Kyle Shea SR T West Scranton

The Invaders got a much needed win in week 8 against Lakeland and it was headlined by balanced attack on offense led by Shea upfront. Shea did great job of opening holes in the run game helping them rush for 227 yards but also held up great in pass protection helping the Invaders throw for 120 yards.

Bryce Talutto SR T Dunmore

The Bucks have gone old school football and have resorted to the Wing T and Talutto has been phenomenal since. Talutto has been a punshing run blocker and has helped the Bucks to wins over Lakeland and Western Wayne. In those wins the Bucks have averaged 284.4 rushing yards a game.

Carter Fabul JR C Delaware Valley

 The Warriors continue to win games upfront, and Fabul has been one of the leaders of that group upfront. Fabul and the Warriors continue to dominant in the trenches and the past 2 weeks have been no different averaging 35.5 points per game. The offense continues to make strives especially in the pass department where Fabul has been great in pass protection.

Nick Jackson JR G Mid Valley:

 The Spartans got a last second win over Honesdale on Friday night and the ground attack told the story led by Jackson upfront. Jackson led the way off a dominant ground attack that averaged 7 yards a game and rushed for 225 yards and also helped the lead the way on the game winning run.

Travis Sharples JR G Scranton Prep

 The Cavilers have averaged 49.5 points per game over the past 2 weeks and have been balanced on offense led by Sharples. Sharples has led the way of the ground attack that has averaged 269 yards a game, and has done a great job pulling guard and making key blocks. Sharples has also looked great in pass protection helping the Cavs throw for 198.5 yards a game.

Kaleb Parry SR DE Mid Valley

 Every tackled mattered in the Spartans 26-25 win over Honesdale on Friday and Parry made big play after big play in the win. Parry was all over the field on Friday and did a good job containing the run where he recorded 13 tackles and 2 for a loss. But the biggest came play where Parry blocked an extra point which ended up being a deciding factor.

Evan Dean JR DT Western Wayne

Teams continue to struggle running the ball against the Wildcats, and big number 74 has been a big reason why. Dean continues to be a problem in the trenches and continues to be one of the league's premier run stuffers, and the past 2 weeks have been no different. Recording 12 tackles, 2 for a loss, and a sack.

Cayd Sespico So DE Abington Heights

The Comets defense is getting better by the week and they're getting a lot of help from underclassmen and Sespico is no exception. Sespico has been great for the Comets all year long but has really shined these past 2 weeks recording 12 tackles, 3 for a loss and a sack.

Kolton Handy SR LB Delaware Valley

The Warriors very well might have the best linebacking core in the District, and Handy has been a huge reason why. The senior has stepped up for the Warriors big time this season and hMas been one of their most valuable assets. Handy continues to step up big games and the past 2 weeks were no different recording 15 tackles, a pass deflection and a interception.

Carter Mistishin SR LB Western Wayne

 The Wildcats continue to look good defensively and Mistishin has been leader of the group. Mistishin is fast physical linebacker who has emerged as great run stuffer which he has shown the past 2 weeks recording 18 tackles, and a sack.

Austin Boersma SR LB Abington Heights

 The Comets played their best defensive game of the season on friday night and Boersma put up one of his best performances of the year. Boersma was all over the field on friday night and help the Comets post a shutout where he recorded 9 tackles and an interception.

Gianni Marino JR LB Valley View

The Cougars defense continues to have one of the best defense in the league, and it’s been fueled by Marino all season long. Marino continues to be a tackling machine and continues to be all over the field making plays and the past 2 eeks have been no different 26 tackles, 1 for a loss, and 1 sack.

Riley Moore SR DB North Pocono

The Trojans got a much needed win in week 7 getting them back into playoff contention and Moore had himself a day defensively. Moore continues to be one of the best man to man corners in the district, and continues to make opposing defenes pay. He had himself a day against Wallenpaupack recording 5 tackles, 4 passes defended and a interception.

Danny Pigga SR DB Dunmore

The Bucks continue to roll and Pigga continues to be one of the best 2 way players in the district. Pigga continues to be one of the hardest hitters in the league and helped hold Lakeland’s passing game in check. He helped hold the Chiefs to 31 passing yards and he had a 90 yard interception return.

Mason Fedor SR DB Abington Heights

Not much else to say other than it was a video game like performance for Fedor last week against Scranton and i’m gonna let the numbers speak for  it’s self. 8 tackles, 1 for a loss and 3 interceptions in a shutout win over Scranton.

Max Kimmel SR DB Lackawanna Trail

Kimmel continues to make big plays and continues to be Trail's best defender in the secondary. Kimmel had another 2 weeks and really shined against Riverside where he recorded multiple big time tackles and a key interception late en route to the Lions 28-21 victory.
