Dylan Podrazil SR RB Wallenpaupack

Anchor 1

Bradley has been one of if not the best QBs in the LFC and he has done that all in his first career starts.  Bradley has shown early on this season how dangerous the Comets can be through the air, and it has been the foundation of the Comet's early success. Through 2 weeks Bradley has completed 58% of his passes for  375 yards and 5 touchdowns, while also adding another 130 rushing yards on the ground.

Paupack has already won more games so far then did all of last year, and that's largely due to Podrazil’s early success. Podrazil has helped Paupack to two road wins over Honesdale and Hazleton and has been a key factor in both of those wins. So far Podrazil has rushed for 281 yards and 4 touchdowns.

Josh Vinton SR RB Western Wayne

Reese Gaughan SR WR Riverside

Gaughan just continues to add on to his already legendary career as we have seen his number called in a variety ways so far this season. Anchor 3

Ben Ostroski SR T Wallenpaupack

The Buckhorns are off to a 2-0 start with 2 road wins, and that success has started upfront with Ostroski. Ostroski has helped the Buckhorns rush for 205 yards a game, and also throw for just sky of 100 yards a game.

Thomas Fiorelli JR T Valley View

The Cougars are off to a 2-0 start, and their patent ground attack has paved the way to their success led by Fiorelli. Fiorelli has done a great job of setting the edge and opening holes for the Cougars 1-2 punch. Fiorelli has helped the Cougars rush for 244.5 yards a game.

Salazar has excelled as pass protector and a run blocker helping the Knights average 183 yards per game on the ground and 153 through the air.

Anchor 5

Robbie Nolan SR DE Valley View

The Cougar's defense has been one of the best in the district to open up the season and a large part of that success is due to Nolan's play. Nolan has been dominant as both an edge rusher and a run stuffer to start the year and it is a big reason why the Cougars are only giving up 16.5 points per game. Nolan has recorded 8 tackles, 5 for a loss, 2 pass deflections, and 3 hurries.

Evan Dean JR DT Western Wayne

Despite starting the season 1-1 the Wildcats have shown they have one of the best defenses in the area headlined upfront by big number 74. Dean has been dominant his first 2 weeks recording 15 tackles, 1 for a loss, and 0.5 sacks.

Evan Dean JR DT Western Wayne:

The Bucks had a good opening win and then took one on the chin last week, but Conte has shined for them early on. At 6,5 280 they don’t get much bigger than Conte who has emerged as dominant run stuffer in the early weeks for the Bucks helping hold Old Forge to just under 40 rushing yards and recording 6 tackles and 2 for loss against Mount Carmel.

Anchor 6

Gianni Marino JR LB Valley View

The Cougars lost some key linebackers due to graduation, but Marino has stepped up and filled that role and has emerged as one of the district's best linebackers. Number 5 has been all over the field the past 2 weeks and has been a huge reason for the Cougars early success. Marino has excelled as run stuffer, but has also been great in coverage recording 23 tackles, 2 for a loss, 1 sack, 2 hurries and 3 pass deflections.

Xaiden Schock JR LB Wallenpaupack

Paupack’s early success has definitely been a story early on this season, but one of the big stories has been the play of number 36. Schock has emerged as the leader of this Paupack defense that is only giving up 13.5 points per game and it has been the foundation of their success. Schock had himself a game last week against Hazleton recording 18 tackles and 3 for a loss.

Chandler has been phenomenal overall recording 8 tackles, 3 for a loss, 3 sacks and an interception.

Nathan Oropallo JR LB Susquehanna

Holt recorded 2 interceptions, 1 returned for 97 yards, 2 pass deflections and 4 tackles in the win.

Kevin Schmidt SR DB Abington Heights

The Comets Are off to fast start in 2023 and could very well be undefeated, but one thing they are happy about is the way Schmidt has played. Schmidt has emerged as the leader of this secondary for the Comets that has been tested week in and week out and Schmidt has stepped up recording 10 tackles and 6 pass deflections.

Max Kimmel SR DB Lackawanna Trail

Kimmel has been known to be one of the area's best ballhawks and he continues to further that argument as he continues to be dominant in the secondary. The Lions have been terrific on defense this season only giving up 10 points a game and Kimmel is a big reason. Kimmel has been a very good tackler when he is put in the box or on kickoff but has found his success playing center field as he has recorded 2 interceptions.

Tae Weeks SR DB Scranton Prep

Prep has just been phenomenal in all 3 phases of the game especially on defense in the secondary with Weeks. Weeks has been tested early on with two teams that throw ball and he has just been lockdown in coverage weather it’s short or deep balls. Weeks had an interception last week against West.
