Tyler Wolfe SR QB Hazleton
Wolfe entered the season as the WVC's most touted QB and left as the WVC's most efficient passer. Wolfe was the WVC the best QB from start to finish and was the leader of that high-powered Cougars offense that won 8 games and averaged 25 points a game. Wolfe completed 65% of his passes for 2,051 and 24 touchdowns which were fifth best in District 2.
Zach Perta SR WR Holy Redeemer
Arguably the best athlete in the area anytime the ball hit Perta hands an explosive play was coming. Perta was the fastest, most athletic player in the district and finished as one of the district's top receivers. Perta finished with 50 receptions for 857 yards and 10 touchdowns which was 3rd best in district 2, Perta averaged 17 yards a catch and also had a kick return.
Noah Schultz SR RB Crestwood
Not much else to say other than it was one of the greatest seasons a running back has had in district 2. From start to finish no one was as dominant as Schultz and the Comets, as the senior helped Crestwood capture a division title, a 4A district title, a state playoff win, and a state semifinal appearance, the first in program history. I am going to let the numbers speak for themselves: 9.3 yards a carry, 160 yards a game, 2,572 yards,and 37 touchdowns (School Record). His 2,572 yards and 40 total touchdowns were both fifth-best in the state according to MaxPreps.
Connor Shamany SR WR Hazleton
You knew since his freshman year that Shamany was gonna be a star, the division 1 recruit balled out his senior year. Shamany’s size and speed made him one of the best receivers in the past couple of years and his route-running ability is as good as anyone's. Shamany finished with 40 receptions for 762 yards and 6 touchdowns which were fourth-best in the district.

Parker Bolesta SR RB Dallas
Bolesta adds his name to the list of all-time great running backs at Dallas, the Stony Brook commit simply dominated the field from start to finish. Through the first half of the season, Bolesta and the Mountaineers were the most dominant team in the district and in week 2 Bolesta ran for 130 yards and 3 touchdowns against Crestwood handing them their only loss of the regular season. Bolesta ran for 202 yards a game and 2,430 and 33 touchdowns on the season.
Joe Marranca SR TE Wyoming Area
The Warriors had one of the best run games in district 2 from start to finish and that's largely due to Marranca’s play at tight end. Marranca did it all for the Warriors on offense but really stood out as a dominant run blocker helping the Warriors run for 304 yards a game, and helping produce a 2,000-yard back. Marranca ran for 136 yards and 2 touchdowns and had 7 receptions for 81 yards and a touchdown on the season.

Aidan Jardine SR LT Crestwood
The Comet's success and dominance have been well documented but all of that success started up front on the offensive line with Jardine. Jardine was a force to be reckoned with on that offensive line and helped the Comets rush for over 5,000 yards. Jardine went against some of the best d-lines in the area and still was able to produce two 1,000-yard plus rushers.
John Jones SR RT Crestwood
The Comets had the most dominant run attack in the district and maybe even the state. The Comets amounted to over 5,000 rushing yards and dominated all season long led by Jones. Jones helped Noah Schultz become the district leading rusher and also helped Crestwood win the district title.
Ethan Speece SR C Wyoming Area
Anchor 4
Coach Spencer and the Warriors had one of the best run games in the district and upfront it was headlined by Speece. Speece was dominant upfront and helped the Warriors run for 304 yards a game and helped produce a 2,000 yard back. Speece had 30 pancake blocks and won most of his 1 on 1 matchups.
Colby Klinetob SR LG Dallas
Klinetob played the “Rich Mannello way” during his senior season and was the most dominant and physical lineman on the field Friday nights. Klinetob was the leader of one of the best offenses in the area and helped produce the district's second leading rusher. Dallas rushed for just shy of 3,000 yards on the year and rushed for 7.9 yards a carry led by Klinetob.
Sam Porro SR RG Hazleton
Hazleton had the most balanced offense in the WVC and could beat u any way they choose to, all that success started upfront with Porro. Porro was dominant from his guard spot and helped the Cougars average 25 points and 365 yards per game. Behind his 11 pancake blocks, he helped produce a 2,000 yard passer and a 900 yard rusher.

Lucus Schultz SR LE Dallas
Dallas had one of the best defensive fronts in the league, and it was headlined by Schultz who made big plays for them all season long. Schultz was the leader of that defensive front that had great performances across the season including holding Crestwood to 14 points. Schultz emerged as a powerful run-stuffer for the Mountaineers but also emerged as a pass rusher, Schultz finshed with 44 tackles, 10 for a loss, 5 sacks, and a forced fumble.
Dave Sudo SR DT Pittston Area
The Patriots had one of their most successful seasons in recent memory and a majority of their success came on defense led by Sudo upfront. Sudo was a wrecking ball up front for the Patriots and was a dominant run stuffer and also became an issue in the pass rush. Sudo recorded 66 tackles, 8 for a loss, and 4 sacks, and helped the Patriots win a division title for the first time since 2022.
Magnus Bibla SR RE Crestwood
Dallas had one of the best defensive fronts in the league, and it was headlined by Schultz who made big plays for them all season long. Schultz was the leader of that defensive front that had great performances across the season including holding Crestwood to 14 points. Schultz emerged as a powerful run-stuffer for the Mountaineers but also emerged as a pass rusher, Schultz finshed with 44 tackles, 10 for a loss, 5 sacks, and a forced fumble.

Cole Kakalecik SR LB Crestwood
From his freshman year to his senior year, Kakalecik was one of the best linebackers in district 2 and made his impact on the Comets program and the field every Friday night. The senior linebacker was one of the leaders of that Comet's defense that only gave up 14 points a game. Kakalecik recorded a WVC-high 120 tackles, 17.0 TFL, and 4.0 Sacks. Crestwood fans can never forget the 3rd and 1 stop he had against Bonner-Prendie, one play later it was a goal-line interception for the Comets.
Qay’Von Minor SR LB Hazleton
The Cougars had playmakers all around the field on Friday nights but none may be as effective as Minor was. The senior linebacker was the heart and soul of the Cougar's defense and helped lead them to an 8-3 record and a birth of the 6A playoffs. Minor was a true playmaker and recorded 117 tackles, 13.5 TFL, 4 sacks, and an interception. His 117 tackles were second-best in the WVC.
Naquan Johnson JR LB Wilkes-Barre
In the diamond city some shine more than others and Johnson has proven he is one of the brightest. The junior linebacker has emerged as one of the best linebackers in the area and has proven that he is a problem on Friday nights. Johnson was the leader of that Wolfpack defense that won six games and put great numbers recording 74 tackles, 12.0 TFL, 10.0 Sacks, and an interception.
Spencer Kishbaugh SR LB Berwick
Enter the season as one of the district's highest-rated recruits and didn't disappoint, anytime a big play was happening number 4 was involved. The Coastal Carolina commit dominated Friday nights and was the most physical and electric player on the field most of the time. Kishbaugh finished with 95 tackles, 63 solo, 16 for a loss, 3 sacks, and an interception.

Nick Miscavage SR DB Crestwood
Every team that makes a state-run has some sort of playmaker in the secondary, lucky for the Comets and Coach Archangeli they had one of the best playmakers in the state. Miscavage took a huge leap his senior season and proved to play big dividends for the Comets as they only gave up 14 points a game. Miscavage recorded 42 tackles, 7 interceptions, and 5 passes defended. During the Comet's playoff run Miscavage made big plays, including an interception in the district title game and a goal-line interception in the state quarterfinal against Bonner-Prendie.
Drey Wilk SR DB Berwick
Following in the footsteps of his brother was going to be no easy task but Drey Wilk cemented his own legacy at Berwick. The senior was one of the most feared DBs in the area and teams shied away from throwing to him, Wilk was just dominant on Friday nights and finished with 91 tackles, 45 solos, two sacks, and two interceptions.
Matthew Cusatis SR DB Hazleton
One of the best Defensive backs in the district was the leader of one of the best secondary in the district. Cusatis was a playmaker for the Cougars on Friday nights and was the leader of that defense that helped them win 8 games. Cusatis was a game-changer a finished with 32 tackles, 5 interceptions and 9 passes defended.
Robby Barbieri SR DB Pittston Area
The Patriots had one of their most successful seasons in a long time and that's largely due to Barbieri's play at safety. The senior was also near the ball and made big plays for the Patriots all year helping them capture a division title. Barbieri finished with a team-high 115 tackles, he also had 5 passes defended and two forced dumbles.
