Brady Zapoticky SR JR QB Dallas:

Zach Fox SR RB Nanticoke:

Anchor 2

The Mountaineers are 2-0 with 2 comeback victories against very good teams and in those comebacks, Zapoticky has stepped up. Zapoticky was good last season, but he has taken a huge jump and is looking like one of the best QBs in District 2. Zapoticky has given Dallas a duel-threat look under center and has thrown for District 2 high 432 yards, 6 touchdowns, and has also added another 114 yards on the ground with 4 TDs.

Aaron Crossley SR RB Wyoming Area

The Trojans were about 5 seconds away from being undefeated, but that ship has sailed. The good news is Zach Fox is off to a terrific start. We said early in the year we expect this to be Fox’s best year yet and he is on paper for it. Fox is already leading the district in rushing yards with 412 and is second in the district and touchdowns with 5.

Zach Paczewski SR WR Dallas

Domination has been the word to describe the tear the Warriors and Crossley have been on to start the year. The Lehigh commit has started where he left off just dominating on the ground en route to the Warriors undefeated record. Crossley is averaging 11.5 yards a carry and has rushed for a district-third-best 365 yards and a district-best 8 touchdowns.

After missing time with an injury last season Paczewski back and is already touching opposing secondary’s. Paczewski has just been a yards after catch machine so far this season as he has emerged as a threat underneath and over top. Paczewski has caught 9 passes for 253 yards and a district 2 best 4 touchdowns.

Yazhir Slaughter SR WR Williamsport

The Millionaires have changed things up this year and we have seen them throw the ball more with speed on the outside, and no better example of breakaway speed is Slaughter. Slaughter is off to a tremendous start and has emerged as the true number 1 option in the Millionaires offense. Slaughter is a YAC machine and has already recorded 10 receptions for 140 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Zander Coleman SR TE Hazleton

Ever since he suited up in the red and white Coleman has made an immediate impact on the field for coach Buchman and the Cougars. Coleman has been the centerpiece of this Cougars passing attack and it has paid dividends as he has been a nightmare matchup for opposing linebackers. Coleman has already hauled in 8 passes for 100 yards and 4 touchdowns.

The Warriors offense has been firing on cylinders and huge part of their success has been the way Vanauken has played in the trenches. Vanauken has just dominated opposing d-lineman opening up holes in the run game which has helped the Warriors to a undefeated record. Vanauken has helped the Warriors rush for 313 yards a game and helping the offense average 48 points per game.

The Mountaineers are looking like one of the best teams in district 2 and a huge part of that is their diversity offense headlined upfront by Stephens.

Stephens has emerged as a phenomenal pass protector and run blocker helping the Mountaineers to wins over Crestwood and Abington Heights where they have averaged 36.5 points per game in that span. Stephens has helped the Mountaineers rush for 201 yards a game and throw for 216 yards a game.

Valley West snapped a 16-game losing streak to North Pocono in week 1 and the ground attack found its grove led upfront by Ruddy. Ruddy did a great job all night long giving holes for Isiah Cobb to run through. Ruddy helped the Spartansrush for 248 yards in week 1.

Despite the 0-2 start the Comets are still one of the best teams in the WVC, and when healthy the offense has not been the problem led by Jaskiweicz upfront. Last week against Dallas we saw the true potential of this Comet's offense scoring 35 points on the ground and through the air. Jaskiewicz has helped the Comets rush for 252.5 yards a game.

The Cougars offense hasn’t been the most flashy in the first 2 games of the season but they have been efficient doing it. The Cougar's success on offense has started upfront with Calcano who is the leader of the group up front that is averaging 24.5 points. Calcano has helped the Cougars rush for 220 yards a game and throw for 120 yards a game.

The Hawkeyes were dominant in week 1 against Holy Cross and Heraniz had a role in that dominant in that 51-20 win. Hernaiz helped hold the Crusaders to just 178 yards off offense and was dominant as a pass rusher and a run stuffer.

Hernia shined as pass rusher with 3 sacks against the Crusaders.

The Trojans have had a stellar defense to open up the season and Johnson has been a key contributor. The Trojans have only given up 14 points this season and posted a shutout week 1 where Johnson was dominant. Johnson recorded 5 sacks, 5 tackles, 1 pass deflection and 1 blocked punt. Johnson had 5 tackles and a sack against Old Forge

The Warriors offense has been terrific to open the year but their defense has been just as good only giving up 12 points. A huge story to their success is the play of Gustitis who has been dominant from his defensive tackle position. Gustitus has done a great job of plugging up holes in the run game and has even shown ability as a pass rusher. Gustitus has recorded 11 tackles, 3 for a loss, and 1 sack.

Anchor 7

A solid start to the season for the Hawkeyes and one thing we have seen is that have playmakers on both sides of the ball one of those being Boehm. Boehm has been a tackling machine to open the year and is a huge reason why the Hawkeyes have only given up 17 points a game. Boehm has recorded 17 tackles, 7 for a loss, 1 sack, and 1 forced fumble.

The Mountaineer defense as a whole hasn't been great, but they have had some individual play that has stood out. Farrell made the jump from d-end to linebacker this season and hasn't missed a beat helping Dallas to an undefeated record and recording 11 tackles, 2 for a loss, 2 sacks, and a blocked punt.

The Wolfpack lost their main linebacker this offense season and Gregor has done a fantastic job filling that role. Gregor has been all over the field and coach Cinti has used a variety of ways from edge rusher to stand-up linebacker, but wherever Gregor lines up he has been a problem. Gregor has recorded 21 tackles, 4 for a loss and 3 sacks.

The Warriors have playmakers all around the field and Rutkoski is no exception. Rutkoski's junior campaign is already off to a good start and he has been the leader of that strong linebacker core that has helped give up just 12 points a game. Rutkoski has recorded 10 tackles, 3 for a loss, and 0.5 sacks.

Anchor 8

They say defense wins games and it closes games this season Malarky has forced turnovers when needed. Malarky has been the leader of this Dallas secondary that has done a good job of forcing turnovers early on this season. Malarky has recorded 15 tackles and 2 interceptions this season.

The Wolfpack has opened the year with 2 tough losses, but have shown they have some standouts including Godiwn. Godwin has shown he is a versatile 2 way weapon, but was impressive on defense last week against, Godwin did a good job of handling the underneath throws and making tackles at the catch, preventing any YAC

Wieldi is another one of those previous playmakers we mentioned earlier. Wieldi has had the secondary on lockdown as teams have only thrown for 59 yard against the Warriors all year long. Wieldi continues to improve as he already has 8 tackles and an interception this season.

The Mountaineers simplay have playmakers all over the field and Tirpak is no exception. Tirpak has once again shown his playmaking ability early on the season and it has paid dividends for the Mounts. Tirpak has 2 interception on the year and has played great in coverage so far.
