Drew Delucca SR QB Pittston Area

The Patriots have shaken off a 2-0 start to bounce back to .500, primarily due to their senior leader’s play. Delucca has not only been super productive but has been super efficient these past 2 weeks completing 50% of his passes for 288 yards and 4 touchdowns.

Dylan Geskey JR RB Dallas:

The Mountaineers continue to dominate and win football games and Geskey appears to be falling in line with the tradition of great running backs from the back mountain. Geskey’s size and speed have led to him being one of the best backs in the district and he has helped pave the way for the Mountaineers success. In this 2 week span, Geskey has rushed 210 yards and 4 touchdowns.

Logan Ross SR RB Tunkhannock

It is unusual to see the Tigers running the ball as much as they have, but it has paved to way to their success and has turned Ross into a star. Ross has been a workhorse for the Tigers these past 2 weeks and it has been the foundation of their success. Ross has run for 411 yards and 6 touchdowns in the past 2 weeks.

Lucas Lopresto FR WR Pittston Area

The Patriots were hit hard by graduation and they have had many underclassmen step up and play well and Lopresto is no exception. Lopresto has emerged as the number 1 option in Coach Barbieri offense and has made quite the impact these past 2 weeks recording 6 receptions for 162 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Anchor 2

Treyvon Gembitski Soph WR Wilkes-Barre:

The Wolfpack have had more success throwing the ball than did last year and a big reason why has been the play of their Sophmore star Gembitski. Gembitski has been the number-one option in this Wolfpack offense that is averaging 27 points per game and has played his best ball the past 2 weeks recording 9 receptions for 148 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Nick Farrell SR TE Dallas:

You might look at the stat sheet and wonder why Farrell is here, but his production as a run blocker the past 2 weeks has paved the way for the Mountaineer's success. Farrell has been terrific at creating holes in this run game and he has helped them run for over 180 yards a game the past 2 weeks.

Anchor 3

Gio Gonzalez SR T Wilkes-Barre

Cooper Thomas JR T Tunkhannock

The Wolfpack has had one of the most balanced offenses in the WVC the past 2 weeks and that success has started upfront with Gonzalez. Gonzalez has been forced to be reckoned with the past 2 weeks paving the way for an offense that has averaged 27 points a game. Gonzalez has helped the Wolfpack rush for 234 yards and throw for 184 yards a game in that 2 week span.

The Tigers have been one of the best rushing teams in the District the past 2 weeks and Thomas has been dominant in the process. The Tigers the past 2 weeks have continued to run off tackle and big number 74 has paved the way for a ground attack that has averaged 270 yards a game.

Jacob Krulick SR C Wyoming Area

Anchor 4

The Warriors proved its legitimacy in week 3 with a win over Crestwood and that Warriors got a lot of help upfront led by Krulick. Krulick has been dominant the past 2 weeks as a run blocker helping the Warriors rush for 209 yards a game and recording 4 pancake blocks.

Dan Sabulski SR G Dallas

Sabulski had a very good 2 weeks helping the Mountaineers win two more games and improving their record to 4-0, but there was a bigger reason for Sabulski's selection this week. In week 3 Sabulski suited up in the number 76 which was worn by former Mountaineer Josh Balara who passed away due to cancer earlier this year. The selection tells you a lot about what the program thinks of him as a player, but even more as a person.

Liam Carroll SR G Berwick

It was a big week for the Bulldogs as they got into win collum and the defensive told the story led by Synder. Synder has a massive day against Williamsport helping hold them to just 7 points and dominating in the process recording 2 sacks and 3 QB Pressures.

Brady Rosencrans SR DE Dallas

Another big week for the Mountaineers and the defense continues to improve and Rosencrans has played a big part in that improvement. Rosencrans has shown to be a good pass rusher off the edge and really showed his ability against Williamsport recording a sack and Multiple pressures.

Anchor 6

Clark Van Orton SR LB Dallas:

The Mountaineer's defense continues to improve and Vanorton has emerged as true linebacker 1 for them. Vanorton has been excellent all year but in the week 3 game against Williamsport he did a phenomenal job of making the tackle at the point of the catch, preventing any YAC.

Jake Dubaskas JR LB Valley West:

Dubakas has once again emerged as the leader of this Spartans defense and is one of the WVC best LBs. Dubaskas has just been tackling machines and has been all over The field the past 2 weeks recording 16 tackles.

Logan Sincavage JR LB Wilkes-Barre:

The Wolfpack have gotten back to .500 and the defense has told that story led by Sincavage. Sincavage has come up big for the Wolfpack the past 2 weeks and in wins over Hazleton and Wlalenpaupack has recorded 20 tackles.

Matt Rutkoski JR LB Wyoming Area:

The Warriors continue to impress defensively and have stars all over the field including Rutkoski. Rutkoski had another dominant 2 weeks against Crestwood and Nanticoke where he recorded 12 total tackles and a fumble recovery.

Anchor 7

Colin Lazo JR DB Crestwood:

The Comets lost almost their entire secondary due to graduation but they have had guys step in a big way and Lazo is no exception. Lazo has done a very good job in coverage the past 2 weeks and has been the Comets strongest coverage corner. Lazo has recorded 2 interceptions and 3 passes defended.

Victor Narsavage Soph DB Pittston:

The Patriots got a much-needed victory week 3 over Valley West and they got a helpful hand for Narsavage. Narsavage is another underclassman who has stepped up and answered the call, and he has delivered 9 tackles, 2 for a loss and 2 sacks in the win.

We continue to talk about the improvement of this Dallas defense and its cause of performances like Lewis has been putting up. Lewis has been phenomenal for the Mounts the past 2 weeks and has excelled in coverage. In week 3 against Williamsport he recorded 12 tackles and last week against West Scranton he added an interception.

Carlos Gonzalez JR DB Hazleton:

Gonzalez continues to improve and get better and he played one of his best games Friday night. Gonzalez did a good job all night long covering the fast Wilkes-Barre receivers downfield and even capped off a stellar performance with an interception.
