Tyler Wolfe QB Hazleton

The Breakdown: Wolfe took over the reins of the explosive Cougars offensive and never looked back. The first-year starter threw for a WVC best 2,188 yards and with 23 touchdowns which were also second-best in district 2 and also ran for 125 yards and a score. Wolfe led the Cougars to a 7-3 record in the regular season before winning a district playoff game and a birth in the district class 6A title game, Wolfe also led the Cougars to the WVC 6A\5A division title.

Justice Shoats WR Holy Redeemer

The Breakdown: Shoats made his return to the football field in 2021 and didn’t disappoint, The senior finished with 43 receptions 818 yards, and 12 touchdowns, and also led the team in rushing with 228 and scored 3 touchdowns on just 28 carries. Shoats 818 receiving yards were top in the WVC and second in the district and his 12 touchdowns receptions were best in the WVC and tied for the most in the district. Another note is that Shoats missed week 1 and was on pace to be a 1,000-yard receiver if he played.

Isaiah Cobb RB Wyoming Valley West

The Breakdown: The Sophomore had a breakout year in 2021 for the Spartans, Cobb rushed for a WVC high 1,569 yards which were also third-best in district 2, Cobb's 15 touchdowns were second best in the WVC and also fourth-best in the district, and he also helped lead the Spartans to the District 2 Class 5A title and a trip to the state playoffs.

Connor Shamany WR Hazleton

The Breakdown: Shamany emerged as a true wide receiver 1 for the Cougars this past season. Shamanys combination of size speed and great route running led to him being one of the top receivers in the district. Shamany finish the year with 41 receptions for 801 yards and 10 touchdowns, his 801 receiving yards were the third-highest in district 2 and his 10 touchdowns were tied for second. The Junior also led the Cougars to the District 2 Class 6A title game and also helped them win the WVC division 6A\5A title.

Magnus Bibla TE Crestwood

The Breakdown: Bibla is starting to look like the next star Tight end for the Comets and had a great first year as a starter.Bibla was an outstanding run blocker for the Comets helping them rush for 1,802 yards and 19 touchdowns on the season, Bibla was a threat in the passing game as well for Crestwood finishing with a team-high 9 receptions for 149 yards and a touchdown.

Ethan Shudak FB Crestwood

The Breakdown: As the Comet's second-leading rusher Shudak got the job done, Shudak ran for 348 yards and 3 touchdowns on just 72 carries and also caught 5 passes for 29 yards. Shudak is also a very good run blocker and a lot of times was the Comet's lead blocker on their run plays.

Colby Klinetob LG Dallas

The Breakdown: Klinetob emerged as one of the best offensive linemen in the WVC this past season and helped lead the Mountaineers back to the playoffs.

Klinetob helped the Mountaineers' explosive offense average 30 points a game and produced both a 1,000-yard rusher and a 1,000-yard quarterback. Behind Klintobs 8 pancake blocks, Dallas was able to rush for 1,588 yards and 33 touchdowns and through the air was able to throw for 1,872 yards and 15 touchdowns.

Nick Elko RG Wyoming Area

The Breakdown: Elko has arguably been one of the best offensive lineman in the district since his freshman year and last season was no different. At 6,4 300lbs Elko was dominant this season helping the Warriors score 32 points a game en route to returning to the District 2 Class 3A title game. Elko was a dominant run blocker helping the The warriors rush for 2,815 yards and 32 touchdowns in just 9 games, and Elko was also a dominant pass blocker helping the Warriors throw for 1,318 yards and 15 touchdowns. Elko was dominant and finished the year with 31 pancake blocks.

Ethan Speece C Wyoming Area

The Breakdown: Speece is the third member of the Warrior's 3-headed monster on the offensive line and went under the radar for the season. Speece had a great season for the Warriors as he helped them win the WVC Division 3 title and return to the district 2 cass 3A title game. Speece was third on the team in pancake blocks and his snaps were near perfect most of the time, Speece helped the Warriors rush for 2,815 yards and 32 touchdowns and also throw for 1,318 yards and 15 touchdowns.

Ryan Giplin LT Wyoming Area

The Breakdown: As one of the strongest most physical linemen in the district Giplin was a force to be reckoned with on Friday nights. Giplins work upfront helped the Warriors return to the District 2 Class 3A title game and also helped the Warriors defeat Lakeland twice and push class 2A state champs Southern Columbia to the brink of defeat. Giplins team-high 41 pancake blocks helped the warriors rush for 2,815 yards and 32 touchdowns while also throwing for 1,318 yards and 15 touchdowns.

John Jones RT Crestwood

The Breakdown: Jones has been one of the best offensive linemen in the WVC for the past couple of seasons and last season was no different. Despite not repeating as district champions Jones was still able to lead the Comets back to the playoffs and also helped one of the best rushing attacks in the WVC. Behind Jones the Comets rushed for 2,117 yards and 19 touchdowns, Jones also showed very good pass protection throughout the season helping the Comets throw for 578 yards and 3 touchdowns. Jones also led the team in pancake blocks.

Parker Bolesta LE Dallas

Charles Crews lll DT Williamsport

Raimon Abreu RE Hazleton

The Breakdown: Bolestas defense ability tends to go unnoticed due to him being a 1,000 yard rusher but he was one of the leaders of this Mountaineer defense. Bolesta was a leader on defense for the Mountaineers and helped them win the WVC 4A title and win a district playoff game. Bolesta was a punishing run stuffer who finished with 43 tackles 6 for a loss and a team high four sacks.

The Breakdown: Crews has been a wrecking ball on defense for the Millionaires for the past couple of seasons now and his senior year was no different. Crews was a leader on defense for the Millionaires finishing with a team high 53 tackles seven of those for a loss and 3 sacks. Crews was a phenomenal run stopper and also had several QB hurries throughout the season.

The Breakdown: Abreu really played both ends of defense for the Cougars it really just depended on the opponent, but it didn't matter tho cause Abreu was an issue for all offensive linemen on Friday nights. Abreu was the heart and soul of a Cougar defense that helped them win the WVC 6A\5A and also make an appearance in the district 2 class 6A title game. Abreu was one of the best defensive players in the district and he finished with 63 tackles four of those were for a loss and also recorded 3 sacks.

Spencer Kishbaugh LB Berwick

The Breakdown: Kishbaugh was arguably the best defensive player in district 2 last season and is looking like the next Berwick star on defense. Kishbaugh made big play and big play for the Bulldogs last season which resulted in the Bulldogs winning a district playoff game and holding district 2 Class 4A champs Valley View to 21 points in their playoff encounter. Kishbaugh was leader of the Bulldogs defense finishing with a team high 90 tackles, 24 of them for a loss he also recorded 9 sacks, 6 pass breakups and 3 interceptions.

Jake Delgaudio LB Dallas

The Breakdown: Delgaudios story is about as inspirational as it gets after a gruesome leg injury in 2020, the leader of the Mountaineers defense returned to the field in 2021 and got started right where he left off. Delgaudio is arguably the best defensive player in the district and was leader of defense for Coach Mannello, he helped the Mountaineers win a district playoff game and the WVC 4A title. Delgaudio finished with the most tackles in the WVC  with 107, 49 of them were solo; he also had 3 sacks and 4 forced fumbles.

Ryan Matyas LB Hazleton

The Breakdown: Matyas was not just one of the best linebackers in the district but one of the best defensive players in the district. Matyas was a leader on defense for the Cougars and helped Hazleton win a district playoff game and reach the district 2 Class 6A title game. Maytas was very good at shooting the gap and stuffing the run game of opposing teams and was very good in pass coverage as well, Maytas finished with a team high 79 tackles, 6 of those were for loss he also had 2 sacks and 2 interceptions.

Anthony Nguyen LB Wilkes Barre

The Breakdown: Nguyen was always around the ball on defense for the Wolfpack last season. Nguyen was a leader on defense for the Wolfpack and was a phenomenal run stopper, Nguyen size,speed and strength helped him to become the Wolfpacks leading tackler he also forced two fumbles and was second of the team in tackles for a loss.

Conner Olisewski DB Wyoming Valley West

The Breakdown: Olisewski could best be described as a playmaking ballhawk, he was a leader on defense for the Spartans and made big play after big play. Olisewski was one of the best defensive backs in the district this past season from his safety spot he used his great speed and ball skills to record a district high 6 interceptions.

Drey Wilk DB Berwick

The Breakdown: Wilk is starting to fill the shoes of his older brother Teagan and is looking like another star on defense for the Bulldogs. Wilk was a bright spot for the Bulldogs in 2021 and was the leader of the secondary on defense.Wilk had 4 tackles for loss 1 forced fumble, 4 pass breakups and a district high 6 interceptions, Wilk helped the Bulldogs back to the district playoffs and helped them win a playoff game.

Rocco Pizano DB Wyoming Area

The Breakdown: Pizano was an all-state DB his junior season and will be a nominee once again this season. Pizano is arguably the best DB in the district he could keep with any receiver one on one in man coverage and is a ballhawk while sitting in zone. Other team's game plans were to stay away from Pizano and not throw to Pizano's side on defense but still managed to finish with a team high 3 interceptions.

Leo Haros DB Wyoming Area

The Breakdown: Haros did it all for the Warriors in 2021 a hard hitting defensive back with great ball skills helped lifted the Warriors back to the district title game. Haros played with passion all year long for the Warriors and was one of the leaders in that secondary, Haros was great in coverage all year long for coach Spencer and finished with 4 pass breakups and also a team high 3 interceptions
